Breakfast in Naples – Part I

Food, Naples / Monday, January 14th, 2019

Hi ya’ll!!!  My entries this week (2) are, you got it, about our first meal of the day.  During the week, I don’t really have time to go out for breakfast, so I usually pack something at home and take with me to work.  But on weekends!  On weekends I like to go out to breakfast/brunch.  It’s a fun way to start the day and a good way to meet up with my other friends that are also working during the week.  with that said, Naples has MANY breakfast eateries.  Whether you live in the area or are planning a visit, check out my favorites.

  1. Ej’s Bayfront Cafe – is located at Bayfront (Goodlette/41).  Ej’s is open for breakfast/lunch and brunch 8:30a-3p, 7 days a week.  Want a mimosa Ej’s  has them as well a fabulous eggs benedict (classic, salmon, garden, bacon, or crab cake), served with potatoes (again the hash brown casserole is divine), or fruit.  Prices range from $11.95 for garden or classic to $14.95 for the crab cake benedict.  Your basic 2 eggs with toast and potatoes or fruit is $6.95 add meat for an additional $2.00.  what I love about Ej’s is the outside seating.  From your seat you have a nice view of the bay and the boats.  The owner is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in St Louis.  Did I mention ingredients are local!  Yes!  AND if you have a dog, you can bring them along.  Ejs will provide your pet with water and a snack.  Win-win for all 🙂    Here is the link
  • Coffee Bar 239 – is open 7 days a week.  Located off Immokalee road/near 41.  I usually order The CB which is 2 eggs, meat of choice (I had turkey bacon), cheese, on an English muffin (I switch to croissant) and an iced coffee latte (it’s GOOD).  Entire breakfast $10.60 (plus tip) Fruit comes with that too.  They have other options and fresh baked good as well.   Coffee Bar 239 is open until 10p Sunday through Thursday and until midnight Friday and Saturday.  Why so late you ask?  Well bar is in the title, right? lol   Mimosa or Prosecco for breakfast/brunch or wine with lunch or dinner, they have more than just breakfast items.  I haven’t tried any of their sandwiches or salads yet, but they look good.
  •  Mimosa of Naples – Is in the same shopping center as Outback on US 41N.  This little gem is amazing.  They have seating outside too.  Can you tell, I like to sit outside?  Only when it’s not 100F ha ha.  Okay, back to the review.  The create your own omelet with hash browns and toast is $9.99.   Half of it comes home with me, it’s that much food.  Now let’s talk about the mimosas.  Oh my!  Order the mason jar, the thing is so big – I leave with a little still in the glass, shameful I know! A traditional size mimosa (a lot of different combinations) is $5.99.  The mason jar (equates to 2.5 or more mimosas) for $9.99.  Want bottomless mimosas, that will set you back just $15.99.  Did I mention bottomless??  If you order that – please have a DD or call Uber, PLEASE :-)!  They are open from 7:30a-2p every day.  They also serve lunch.

Well, there you have it.  My 3 of my 6 favorite breakfast spots in Naples.  Have you been to any of these locations?  Do you have a favorite breakfast/brunch spot?  Drop a comment below and let me know.
